Our site originally dates back to 1734 and was once a shepherd's cottage. Today, La Gaffe prides itself as being a warm, welcoming, family-run residential hotel in the heart of Hampstead Village.
The history of Hampstead can be traced back over one thousand years. Hampstead was originally a village set well outside of the walls of London; today it retains a traditional feel, combining quaint winding streets and period architecture with contemporary style and sophistication.
Hampstead also boasts "The Heath", acres of woodland and ponds, and one of London's best-known and best-loved public open spaces. It is perfect for jogging, kite-flying, long walks and the grounds of nearby Kenwood, a beautiful and impressive National Trust property, offer free concerts each weekend in the summer.
With its captivating charm and the inspiring views of London from Parliament Hill, Hampstead is the perfect location: a haven of tranquillity but within easy reach of all major London attractions (La Gaffe is a mere fifteen minutes from the centre of the city by tube).
All rooms are strictly non-smoking!
